About Us

The mission of the Plainfield Junior Woman’s Club is to improve the community by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service, allow women to network toward common goals and mutual interest where women will gain personal growth through leadership training and development.

Plainfield Junior Woman’s Club (PJWC) was founded in 2008 by Karyn McCarthy and Karri McLeod in Plainfield, IL,  as a non for profit organization,  dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer services.  PJWC provides an opportunity for  women to network toward common goals and mutual interests.  Women involved in our organization will also gain personal growth through leadership training and development.  PJWC is a Subsidiary of General Federation of Women’s Club of Illinois (GFWC).  This organization is one of the largest service organizations, and we are proud to be one of 250 clubs in Illinois.

 

PJWC is made up of  twelve different committees that work together on various service projects and fundraisers during our club year that help underprivileged women and children in and around our community.
